Employment as an ergonomist

WE RECEIVE frequent enquiries from around the world from people interested in working as an ergonomist in Australia.  There are about 500 members of the Ergonomics Society of Australia, but most of these people would probably describe themselves as "part-time" in their ergonomics work.

Many ergonomists are employed in public sector departments, some in corporations, and a smaller number work as consultants (most of whom are on their own).

You can notify your interest in employment fairly easily by sending an email to the list-server "Ergonoz", subscribed to (and read) by well over one hundred Australian ergonomists.

Tip:  be brief, and don't attach lengthy documents (like your CV).  Invite people to ask you for it.

You might also care to take your enquiry to the Federal office of the Ergonomics Society of Australia.
