The role

We are now seeking an experienced General Manager to strengthen our leadership capabilities and to drive our next phase of growth. You will manage our professional staff and jointly lead our efforts to achieve our ambition to be Australia’s leading safety and ergonomics experts. 

The successful applicant will be an effective leader and a strategic thinker who executes operational improvements. You will have extensive business acumen, and experience in people development and strategic marketing. 

You will lead improvement initiatives and drive the necessary associated changes. Therefore, you will have prior experience in these areas, obtained ideally in growing B2B small businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations: oversee daily business operations and team performance, driving process and organisational improvement, productivity and overall quality of work outputs.
  • Marketing: working with our Marketing Coordinator, support business development opportunities and lead marketing efforts. 
  • Management and Leadership: lead and coach staff to enhance productivity, continue to build on our culture and balance workloads. 
  • Human Resources: deliver key HR initiatives, performance reviews and recruitment to ensure we have the right staff and secure the best candidates to join our team.
  • Strategic Execution: work with the Managing Director to develop, refine and deliver the execution of the business’s short, medium and long-term strategic plans.

Essential requirements

You must have or hold :

  • a relevant undergraduate (at minimum) degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • A history of effectively leading and communicating with people at all organisational levels
  • Hands-on experience managing professional teams.
