CONSULTING ENGINEER

Hamed Shahidian is a mechanical and biomedical engineer with extensive experience in rehabilitation engineering and human biomechanics. He is skilled in conducting biomechanical experiments, modelling, and performing analysis of biomechanical data to investigate available risks and prevent possible injuries.

As a consulting engineer, Hamed is working closely with our team of senior ergonomists and engineers to deliver ergonomics safety improvement solutions, undertake research, attend site inspections, perform tests, conduct measurements, interview clients and assist with the drafting of expert reports for litigated personal injury matters.

Some examples of projects Hamed Shahidian has helped deliver include:

  • Justified Performance Solutions and advice for access, egress and slip resistance surface compliance for the building industry in line with the NCC/BCA requirements
  • Providing research and advice in the investigation of several incidents relating to litigated personal injury claims

Some examples of incident investigations Hamed has been involved include:

  • Slips, trips and falls from same level incidents, including testing and measurement
  • Falls from trucks, scaffolding, ladders and stairs
  • Playgrounds, slides and amusement rides

  • 2011: Ranked 1st among all Master of Biomedical Engineering students (GPA 4/4)
  • 2011: Being selected as one of the most talented students in the Master’s program
  • 2014: Invention of a Novel Head Positioning System towards Less Adverse Effects of General Anaesthesia in Prone Position
  • 2014: Winner of the IPRS and APA scholarships awarded by the Australian Government
  • Publication of more than 15 papers in international conferences and journals
  • 2022: Being selected as a Reviewer for the Journal of Biomechanics
  • Hamed holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, and Master of Biomedical Engineering.

  • 2023: Cert IV in Work Health & Safety with Melbourne Polytechnique
  • In his spare time, he enjoys playing/watching soccer and volleyball, watching series and going camping.
